Lancia D50 Recreation - A Labour of Love Anthony Maclean, a Lancia afficionado since school and university days, bought a Lancia D24 (the two-seater that won in-period events such as the Targa Florio, the Mille Miglia and the Carrera PanAmericana) recreation in 1990, painstakingly built by Turin craftsmen Guido Rosani and Luciano Basso. In 1994, now firm friends, Maclean and Rosani embark on a project to build a very limited series of 'recreations' of the great 1950s V8-powered single-seater, familiar to enthusiasts by its pannier fuel tanks and offset motor.
The result, with the help of Sir Anthony Bamford, Bernie Ecclestone and Tom Wheatcroft along the way, is the car that Jochen Mass regularly drives at the Goodwood Revival.
Who Said Connoisseur? - Bernard Worth has been behind the wheel for almost 70 years (if an early pedal car is included). Cars driven include a Ferrari 166 MM and 1934 Salmson.
'B.Bira' - Part II Neville Hay follows the career of Thailand's racing Prince during the early post-war period.
Eoin Young's Diary - Motoring scribe of note, Young recalls lunch with Rob Walker, stories of the recently deceased Keith Duckworth, and the year (1960) a Citroen 2CV was used to officially open the Le Mans 24 Hours track...
