The Editor (and wife) travels to Italy for the well-known hill climb set in two medieval towns close to Piacenza, some 90km south-east of Milan. Maserati and OSCA were the featured marques this year and the event was enlivened by the presence of Sir Stirling Moss driving his own OSCA.

Coupe des Alpes 2009
Anthony Hussey (and co-driver Anthony Maclean) mixes it with 69 Porsches on an event described in the road book as 'not competitive'. Oh, and there's Brandon Wang in his Ferrari 250 GTO, too. The Lancia-mounted pairing completes the course - too late for the formal finish but in good time for the Reception. Perfect timing.
