Jim Loveridge considers the racing career of fellow Yorkshireman Eddie Hall. He was known as a 'TT specialist' due to his strength and stamina, and excelled at long-distance events such as Le Mans and the Tourist Trophy, mainly driving 'big' cars from Bentley and Lagonda. He also competed in supercharged MGs, including a Mille Miglia entry in 1934. As late as 1950 he was to be found behind the wheel of a Bentley at Le Mans
